Position Overview
The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) is seeking a Senior Regional Construction Scheduler to provide program-level scheduling oversight, supervise schedulers, and deliver executive reporting.
Position Description
Provide reports and updates to upper management for KPIs
Supervise project schedulers and coordinate with OARs, Senior PMs, and site staff
Forecast staffing needs and make recommendations
Develop and maintain program schedules with defined relationships, milestones, and constraints
Interpret and review construction drawings for scope understanding
Review contractor baseline schedules and provide written comments
Perform QA/QC on contractor submittals for critical path, resource/cost loading, recovery schedules, and milestones
Conduct Time Impact Analyses (TIAs) and negotiate settlements
Review drawings and contracts to determine compensability of schedule extensions
Perform CPM and Earned Value analyses
Conduct site walks to verify progress and report to OARs and management
Lead weekly contractor status meetings
Perform Program Schedule QA/QC reviews
Update program/master schedules bi-monthly
Prepare management reports as required
Minimum Required Qualifications
Must be clearly demonstrated on resume to be considered.
8 years of full-time paid professional experience in construction scheduling for an Owner or General Contractor
Experience with educational facilities or public works projects preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management
OR bachelor’s degree in any field plus 2 additional years of scheduling experience
Proficiency in Primavera (latest version) and MS Office Suite
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to build strong relationships with teams
Understanding of cost engineering, scheduling, and schedule forensics
