Position Overview
The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) is seeking a Senior Regional Construction Scheduler to provide program-level scheduling oversight, supervise schedulers, and deliver executive reporting.
Position Description
- Provide reports and updates to upper management for KPIs
- Supervise project schedulers and coordinate with OARs, Senior PMs, and site staff
- Forecast staffing needs and make recommendations
- Develop and maintain program schedules with defined relationships, milestones, and constraints
- Interpret and review construction drawings for scope understanding
- Review contractor baseline schedules; provide written comments
- Perform QA/QC on contractor submittals for critical path, resource/cost loading, recovery schedules, and milestones
- Conduct Time Impact Analyses (TIAs) and negotiate settlements
- Review drawings/contracts to determine compensability of schedule extensions
- Perform CPM and Earned Value analyses
- Conduct site walks to verify progress; report to OARs and management
- Lead weekly contractor status meetings
- Perform Program Schedule QA/QC reviews
- Update program/master schedules bi-monthly
- Prepare management reports as required
Minimum Required Qualifications
(must be clearly demonstrated on resume to be considered)
- 8 years of full-time paid professional experience in construction scheduling for an Owner or General Contractor
- Experience with educational facilities or public works projects preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management
- OR bachelor’s degree in any field plus 2 additional years of scheduling experience
- Proficiency in Primavera (latest version) and MS Office Suite
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with teams
- Understanding of cost engineering, scheduling, and schedule forensics
