Position Overview

The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) is seeking a Senior Regional Construction Scheduler to provide program-level scheduling oversight, supervise schedulers, and deliver executive reporting.

Position Description

• Provide reports and updates to upper management for KPIs
• Supervise project schedulers and coordinate with OARs, Senior PMs, and site staff
• Forecast staffing needs and make recommendations
• Develop and maintain program schedules with defined relationships, milestones, and constraints
• Interpret and review construction drawings for scope understanding
• Review contractor baseline schedules; provide written comments
• Perform QA/QC on contractor submittals for critical path, resource/cost loading, recovery schedules, and milestones
• Conduct Time Impact Analyses (TIAs) and negotiate settlements
• Review drawings/contracts to determine compensability of schedule extensions
• Perform CPM and Earned Value analyses
• Conduct site walks to verify progress; report to OARs and management
• Lead weekly contractor status meetings
• Perform Program Schedule QA/QC reviews
• Update program/master schedules bi-monthly
• Prepare management reports as required

Minimum Required Qualifications

(must be clearly demonstrated on resume to be considered)

• 8 years of full-time paid professional experience in construction scheduling for an Owner or General Contractor
• Experience with educational facilities or public works projects preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management
• OR bachelor’s degree in any field plus 2 additional years of scheduling experience
• Proficiency in Primavera (latest version) and MS Office Suite
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to build strong relationships with teams
• Understanding of cost engineering, scheduling, and schedule forensics
