LACCD is looking for two detail-driven Project Controls IV (Cost Analysts) to keep our multi-million-dollar capital construction projects on track and on budget. Key Responsibilities
· Oversee project budgets and forecasts, ensuring compliance with SOPs.
· Lead and validate financial inputs during monthly Estimate at Completion (EAC) reviews.
· Conduct cost variance analysis, identify trends, and propose mitigation strategies.
· Support change management, risk assessments, and financial impact analysis.
· Collaborate with schedulers and project managers to monitor cost and schedule performance.
· Review contracts, change orders, staffing plans, and expenditures for financial accuracy.
· Prepare and analyze monthly/weekly cost reports, forecasts, and reconciliations.
· Develop reports using systems such as e-Builder, Proliance, DELTEK, and similar tools.
· Maintain project control tools, coding structures, and cost management logs.
· Provide senior leadership with clear and accurate financial reporting.
· Travel to project sites as required.
Minimum Required Qualifications (must be met to be considered)
· 7–10 years of recent professional experience in project controls, specifically on capital construction programs.
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or related field.
· Note: Additional qualifying experience may substitute for formal education.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven financial modeling expertise.
· Proficiency in advanced Excel and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
· Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy in reporting, and ability to meet strict deadlines.
· Excellent communication skills to present financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
· Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
· Advanced use of program management systems (e-Builder, DELTEK, Proliance).
· Proficiency in business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau).
· Experience with Data Warehousing and system integration.
· Strong understanding of cost control and budgeting on large-scale capital programs.
· Ability to integrate multiple data sources into cohesive financial reports.
